- ARRI expands its LED lighting lineup with the introduction of the SkyPanel S30-C, a portable and versatile LED softlight that delivers exceptional color accuracy and a broad spectrum of features. The SkyPanel S30-C, finished in ARRI’s signature blue and silver, offers a compact panel surface area of 14 x 11.8 inches, making it ideal for mobile applications. Mounted on a sturdy manual aluminum yoke, this light provides a powerful output comparable to a 1000W tungsten soft light while consuming only 240W of power.
- The SkyPanel S30-C is fully color-tuneable, offering a wide color temperature range from a warm 2800K to a cool 10,000K. It incorporates ARRI’s advanced RGB+W color mixing technology, allowing precise hue and saturation control along with full minusgreen to full plusgreen adjustments. This extensive color control capability ensures a high CRI of >95 and a TLCI of >91, making it suitable for the most demanding film and television productions.
- Advanced Features and Control
- The SkyPanel S30-C?s output is managed via interchangeable thermoplastic diffusers, available in Standard, Lite, and Heavy versions, allowing you to adjust the softness and spread of the light. These diffusers ensure the light wraps beautifully around subjects, producing soft shadows and a natural beam quality that is ideal for beauty lighting and interviews.
- Inspired by ARRI’s L7-C Fresnel technology, the SkyPanel S30-C?s advanced light engine is computer-calibrated for consistent color and output across different units and batches. This tunability is controlled locally through the onboard interface or remotely via DMX or LAN connections, offering flexibility in various production environments. The fixture also includes a USB-A port for firmware updates, ensuring your light stays up to date with the latest features.
- Versatility and Durability
- The SkyPanel S30-C is designed for both studio and on-location work. It operates on multi-voltage AC power (90-250 VAC) and can also run on optional 23-36 VDC batteries, making it highly adaptable to different shooting conditions. With a beam spread of 110?, it can serve as an effective space light or be used with optional silk cylinders for color-controllable soft light.
- Constructed in Germany, the SkyPanel S30-C features a robust design with an aluminum core and fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastics, ensuring it withstands the rigors of daily production use. The fixture is built to last, with electronics designed to endure between 25,000 to 50,000 hours of operation, and the LED light engine is re-calibratable for long-term accuracy.

- The user interface of the SkyPanel S30-C is designed for simplicity and efficiency, with three main knobs for adjusting color temperature, green/magenta balance, light intensity, and hue/saturation. These controls allow for quick adjustments on set, while DMX and LAN connectivity provide the option for remote operation.
