- ARRI continues to expand its LED lighting range with the SkyPanel S30-C LED Softlight, now available in a sleek black finish. Supported by a pole-operated aluminum yoke, this light offers flexibility and ease of use, making it ideal for both studio and location shoots. The S30-C features a 14 x 11.8″ panel surface area, delivering powerful yet portable lighting. With an output equivalent to a 1000W tungsten soft light, it consumes only 240W, making it highly efficient.
- The SkyPanel S30-C is fully color-tuneable, providing a color temperature range from a warm 2800K to a cool 10,000K. It utilizes ARRI?s RGB+W color mixing technology, allowing precise control over hue, saturation, and green/magenta balance. This ensures a high CRI of over 95 and a TLCI rating above 91, essential for professional film and television production.
- Advanced Features and Control
- The S30-C comes equipped with interchangeable thermoplastic diffusers, available in Standard, Lite, and Heavy versions. These diffusers allow users to quickly modify the light?s softness and spread, ensuring a soft, even light distribution that wraps around subjects beautifully, minimizing harsh shadows.
- Drawing from the advanced technology of ARRI?s L7-C Fresnel lights, the SkyPanel S30-C?s light engine is computer-calibrated to maintain consistent color accuracy across different units. The fixture?s functions can be controlled locally through its onboard interface or remotely via DMX or LAN connections, offering versatility in various production environments. Additionally, the USB-A port allows for easy firmware updates, ensuring the light remains current with the latest advancements.
- Versatile and Durable Design
- The SkyPanel S30-C is designed for versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of lighting applications. It operates on multi-voltage AC power (90-250 VAC) and can also be powered by optional 23-36 VDC batteries, providing flexibility for on-the-go shoots. The pole-operated yoke makes it easy to adjust the light?s position without needing to manually handle the fixture, which is particularly useful in studios or for lights mounted in hard-to-reach areas.
- Constructed with German engineering, the SkyPanel S30-C is built to withstand the demands of professional use. Its combination of an aluminum core and fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastics ensures durability, with an expected lifespan for the electronics between 25,000 and 50,000 hours. The LED light engine is re-calibratable, allowing for long-term color accuracy.
