ARRI Arrimax 18/12 Overview

The ARRI Arrimax 18/12Kw HMI PAR fixture is designed for productions that require the highest light output possible. The Arrimax combines the adjustable beam spread of a Fresnel light with the intense output of a PAR fixture. This is made possible by its innovative reflector system, which provides beam control without the need for additional spread lenses. This unique approach ensures sharper shadow quality and makes it easier to cut light.

Powerful Output The Arrimax is 50% brighter than a standard 12kW PAR, delivering an impressive light output that is ideal for large-scale productions. Advanced Reflector Design The 580mm (22.8″) diameter specular, flatted reflector is adjustable, providing continuous focus from 15? to 50? without the need for additional lenses. High Light Output Although specific footcandle measurements can vary, the Arrimax can deliver well over 3,000 footcandles from a distance of 100 feet when fitted with a 12,000W HMI lamp. Efficient Beam Control The absence of spread lenses not only enhances light output but also improves shadow quality, offering sharper and more defined shadows. Sturdy Construction The fixture features a durable aluminum yoke that can be mounted to a Junior (1-1/8″) socket, ensuring stability and reliability during operation. Robust Lamp Mounting The GX51 lamp base provides a secure connection, reducing mechanical stress on the lamp pins, with compatibility for GX38 bases as well. Optional Light Shapers Barndoors, 29″ diameter scrims, and a motorized stirrup are available as optional accessories, enhancing the fixture’s versatility. Safety Features Includes an interlock micro-switch on the front door for safely disconnecting all power-load connections, ensuring operator safety. eXtreme Cooling System The Arri eXtreme cooling system ensures the fixture remains cool, even during prolonged use, extending the life of the equipment. Illuminated On/Off Switch and Hour Counter These features provide convenience and help monitor the fixture’s usage.
