The ARRI Daylight 18/12 HMI Fresnel is a powerful lighting fixture designed for professional film and television productions that require intense, daylight-balanced light. This Fresnel is part of ARRI’s renowned Daylight series, which has been a staple in the industry for its reliability, performance, and superior light quality.

High Output Designed for use with double-ended HMI lamps, the ARRI Daylight 18/12 is capable of producing extremely high light levels. When fitted with an 18K HMI bulb (sold separately), this Fresnel can achieve up to 1446 footcandles in a 13-foot diameter from a distance of 66 feet at full spot, and 167 footcandles in a 101-foot diameter at full flood. Large Fresnel Lens The fixture features one of the largest lenses in its class, providing superior light distribution and even coverage across the beam. Cooler Fixture Housing Constructed from ribbed aluminum, the fixture is designed to run cooler, which helps to extend the life of the lamp and reduces the risk of overheating during extended use. Optional Flicker-Free Ballast To ensure consistent light quality without flicker, especially in high-speed cinematography, an optional 12-18K electronic ballast is recommended. This ballast is compact and includes safety features such as over-voltage, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection, providing reliable and safe operation. DMX Control The optional electronic ballast can be integrated with DMX-50 capable control boards and dimmers, offering precise control over the light’s intensity and other functions. In the Box ARRI 12K – 18KW HMI Fresnel Light The primary lighting fixture designed for use with 12K or 18K HMI lamps. Not in the Box Essential Lamps The HMI lamps (12K or 18K) required to operate the Fresnel are sold separately. Ballasts The recommended electronic ballast for flicker-free operation is not included. Essential Head Cables & Extensions Required for connecting the fixture to power sources. Lighting Control Accessories Barndoors, filter frames, and other light-shaping accessories are not included but are available separately.
