Las Vegas Convention Center | December 6–8, 2025

From December 6–8, the MACCAM family attended LDI 2025, one of the most influential global trade events for live design, lighting, audio, and production technology. The Las Vegas Convention Center became a hub for industry professionals to explore trends, tools, and innovations shaping the future of live entertainment and technical production.

LDI 2025 brought together creatives, technicians, designers, and manufacturers from around the world, offering a hands-on look at emerging technologies, workflows, and collaborations that are driving the industry forward.

📈 Industry Insight: Leadership Moves in Lighting

One of the major industry developments leading into LDI was the appointment of Markus Zeiler, former CEO of ARRI’s lighting division, as Group Managing Director at Creamsource. Zeiler’s extensive experience in LED developments and global lighting leadership is expected to drive Creamsource’s growth into new markets and deepen its R&D efforts for next-generation lighting solutions — a notable shift given his influence on lighting adoption and product strategy during his time at ARRI.

💡 Product Highlight: ZIPR E-Powered K.I.T. Cart

A standout product featured around the show floor was the ZIPR e-Powered K.I.T. Cart, an electric-powered production cart designed to support equipment movement, reduce crew fatigue, and streamline workflows on set and in event environments. Equipped with up to 300 kg (661 lbs) payload capacity and available in 2WD or 4WD configurations, ZIPR offers mobility, modular accessories, and the ability to serve as both a transport solution and a track-free utility platform for production crews.

🤝 MACCAM at LDI

The MACCAM team spent the event meeting partners, exploring innovations, and exchanging ideas with industry leaders. These engagements are vital to keeping our offerings aligned with the evolving needs of designers, technicians, and live production teams.

We were fortunate to have Michael McDonald in attendance as part of the MACCAM family, interacting with peers, attending sessions, and contributing to discussions throughout the event.

👀 Looking Ahead

LDI 2025 reinforced the importance of community, innovation, and collaboration in the live production industry. We look forward to bringing new insights and tools into our work and sharing them with our clients.
