Aputure STORM 700x Tunable White LED Monolight Color Tuning Control The STORM 700x Tunable White LED Monolight is Aputure’s newest high-output point-source LED, engineered around a powerful tunable-white engine in a compact and production-ready design. Developed using the same core principles found in the STORM 1200x, XT52, and STORM 400x, the STORM 700x retains Aputure’s proprietary and innovative BLAIR chipset—delivering exceptional spectral quality and highly accurate white light reproduction. With a 700W output, smooth dimming performance, multiple control options, and a secure ProLock Bowens accessory mount, this fixture is built for demanding professional environments. A smart cooling system and durable IP65-rated construction ensure reliable operation in challenging weather and on high-end sets. The STORM 700x is an ideal lighting solution for filmmakers, cinematographers, and lighting professionals who require powerful, precise, and consistent white light in a rugged form factor. The STORM 700x ships with a 35° reflector, control box, clamp, head and power cables, and a soft rolling case designed to transport the entire system. BLAIR Light Engine At the core of the STORM 700x is Aputure’s breakthrough BLAIR chipset, featuring blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red LED emitters. This advanced five-diode architecture delivers higher brightness levels, improved color accuracy, and enhanced color-matching performance compared to traditional bi-color fixtures. With over 70% coverage of the Rec. 2020 color gamut, the STORM 700x achieves CRI and TLCI ratings of 95, along with an SSI score of 87 at both 3200K and 5600K. TM-30 ratings of Rf 95 and Rg 100 further confirm its ability to reproduce natural, balanced white light across a wide CCT range. Unmatched Flexibility The STORM 700x offers a full CCT range from 2500 to 10,000K, paired with advanced green-magenta color correction for precise white-point control. The ±G 100% ASC MITC green-magenta adjustment allows seamless integration into mixed-lighting environments. At 5600K, the fixture delivers up to 18,670 lux at 9.8' when used with the included 35° reflector. Users can choose between max output and constant output modes, as well as specialized options such as high-speed photography, lead-follow, and studio modes to adapt to different production workflows. Advanced Control The included control box provides smooth, responsive dimming and advanced local control. Stepless dimming is available from 0.1 to 100%, with four selectable dimming curves: linear, exponential, logarithmic, and S-shaped. Both wired and wireless control options are supported, including DMX, RDM, CRMX, and Bluetooth app control via Sidus Link and Sidus Link Pro. The STORM 700x features 12 DMX control profiles, enabling multiple dimming modes and customizable DMX signal-loss behaviors for seamless integration into professional lighting systems. Compact, Robust Design Built for durability, the STORM 700x features an IP65-rated housing that protects against dust and weather, making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor applications. Heat is managed by an active air cooling system with four selectable fan modes: smart, high, medium, and silent. The ProLock Bowens accessory mount ensures secure, optically aligned attachment of modifiers while remaining compatible with a wide range of optional accessories. The fixture operates on standard AC power (100–240V) using the included 19.6' power cable. Additional Details The STORM 700x includes built-in lighting effects such as paparazzi, fireworks, flickering bulb, cannon, lightning, TV, pulse, flash, explosion, flame, along with 10 savable presets. Its native COB beam angle is 58°, and it ships with a 35° reflector, while remaining compatible with an optional 25° reflector. The lamp head with yoke measures 19.8 × 10.8 × 10.7" and weighs 11.35 lb, while the control box weighs 9 lb. Firmware updates can be performed in batches using Sidus Link, Sidus Link Pro, or USB-A. Aputure CF10 Fresnel & Barndoors Kit Optimized for Aputure’s separately available STORM 700x LED fixture, the CF10 Fresnel & Barndoors Kit combines a compact Fresnel featuring a 10" diameter lens with integrated 8-leaf barndoors and a soft carry case. The CF10 Fresnel intensifies the STORM 700x’s output by up to two times, reaching up to 56,200 lux at 5600K. A variable beam angle allows adjustment from a focused 15° spot to a broad 40° flood, delivering smooth falloff from the center to the edge while maintaining a compact, efficient profile. Essential Accessories This kit includes a CF10 Bowens mount Fresnel, 8-leaf barndoors for precise beam shaping, and a safety chain for added rigging security. The included soft carry case is designed to store both the Fresnel and barndoors together. Compatibility While optimized for the STORM 700x, the CF10 Fresnel & Barndoors Kit is also compatible with Aputure’s optional LS 600c Pro II, LS 600c Pro, and STORM 400x fixtures. Aputure Skid for STORM 700x The Aputure Skid for STORM 700x allows the fixture to be placed flat on the ground with added stability and reduced risk of tipping. Constructed from stainless steel, this support accommodates the STORM 700x’s head cable and other components while providing a secure mounting solution. The skid attaches directly to the bottom of the STORM 700x and features a rear cutout that allows clearance for the head cable, even while tilting the fixture up or down. It remains fully functional when the separately available CF10 Fresnel with barndoors is attached. Ideal for rental houses and on-location workflows, this frame is also well-suited for use on shelves, carts, and other flat surfaces.
