The Claypaky Skylos redefines modern searchlights with a compact IP66-rated moving head built for demanding environments—from touring and large-scale events to theme parks and permanent installations. At its core is a custom 300W white laser source, delivering exceptional brightness, reliability, and safety within a fully sealed module. With marine-grade C5-M protection, the fixture is engineered to withstand harsh conditions, while an integrated fan system prevents condensation on the front lens to maintain consistent beam performance.
Skylos goes beyond traditional searchlight functionality with advanced effects and creative flexibility. It includes a custom gobo slot and multiple prism systems: a rotating 6-sided prism, a rotating 5-sided linear prism, and a fixed 4-sided prism that can be layered together to produce complex visuals such as the Moonflower effect and other mid-air projections. The laser-driven optical system delivers razor-sharp beams with outstanding contrast, enhanced by a 15-color wheel designed to maintain high brightness. Additional features include a 5° frost filter, 24-bit digital dimmer, and digital stop-strobe effect for dynamic control.
The fixture is equipped with a front LCD display and 5-button menu, while connectivity options on the rear include 5-pin DMX I/O, powerCON I/O, and EtherCON. It supports DMX, Art-Net, RDM, and sACN (20 channels) and is fully compatible with CloudIO. Installation is streamlined with included Omega brackets and a powerCON cable.
